About Membership | Become a Member | Founding Members |
Members are given one of these insignias to distinguish their membership type. Insignias are displayed on name tags, printed material, and so on. We may also offer products that can display insignias, such as mugs, t-shirts, calendars, etc.
Insignia: |
Bloodline Members, designated by the color blue. These are members who have reasonable proof of their direct blood lineage to Henry Baker I. |
Insignia: |
Family Members, designated by the color green. These are members who have legal and lawful family membership, but no direct blood lineage (examples: spouses, adopted children, legal unions, etc). |
Insignia: |
Friends of the Family, designated by the color gold. These members have no lineage or lawful relationship to the Bakers of Buckland family. |
Insignia Example: |
Founding Members, designated by the addition of the color purple. These are members who (a) join within the first twelve months of the establishment of the organization OR (b) members who donate a Founding Gift to the Society. The definition of “Founding Gift” is determined annually by the Officers during the Officer’s Session at the Annual Meeting. Founding Members may be comprised of Bloodline Members, Family Members, or Friends of the Family. |
Insignia Example: |
Honorary Members, designated by the addition of the color red. These are members who have been invited into the Society, free of any fees or dues, by unanimous vote of the Officers and by a 2/3 majority vote of voting members. |
